About

This is my personal web page, where I like to blog and post other information to discuss my experiences and insights about scripture, culture, and adventure. I like to emphasize how those topics intersect with my own understanding of spirituality and masculinity, with hopes that these ideas will encourage others to explore their own understanding of those issues to create a more passionate, powerful, and purposeful life for themselves and the ones they love.

So a little about me. I’m a 48-year old single man living in Austin, Texas. I am a licensed attorney and have been practicing law for over 18 years, the last nine of those right here in Austin. I actively practice and profess the Christian faith and currently attend a small non-denominational church fellowship. My views on Christianity have been deeply impacted by both the evangelical and the ecumenical movements as well as a healthy “experiential” perspective on spiritual principles and practices. I’m also honored to be part of the recovery community and have witnessed many miracles in myself and my friends as we support each other in our journeys towards serenity, sanity, and sobriety in every area of our lives.

I hope that you are inspired, encouraged, and maybe even a little surprised by the breadth and depth of the information, ideas, and images that you might find on this site. Please leave comments to let me know if anything you’ve seen here as touched you or helped you in some way.

May God bless you on your journey!
